Welcome to Michigan NExT!

Project NExT (New Experiences in Teaching) is a national program, sponsored by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA) with support from the ExxonMobil Educational Foundation, for faculty in their first few years of full-time teaching. The Michigan Section of the MAA began regional Project NExT activities (Michigan NExT) in May 2000 at the Michigan MAA Section Annual Meeting held at Central Michigan University.

The mission of the project is to support new and recent Ph.D.s in their roles as mathematics faculty members. In particular, the project fosters and enhances high-quality teaching and learning of undergraduate mathematics.

The Michigan section of Project NExT is open to all full-time faculty members in mathematics departments in the Michigan Section who have an earned doctorate and are within their first four years of undergraduate teaching (after the doctorate).
