Women choose traditional role

It began with our mothers. During the 60s and 70s, the young women of the baby boomer generation fought for equal rights; more specifically, they battled their way to equal employment opportunity and took on the crusade to women’s liberation. No longer is it the expected norm for women to stay home and take care of the children. The typical college student has grown up in a world where equal opportunity is commonplace.

City expands business, boosts economy

Although the national unemployment rate continues to drop, many workers in Hillsdale County remain jobless. Unemployment in Hillsdale County jumped to a staggering 9.3 percent in August.

 

Ball benefits school
It’s not everyday that a high school band earns $5,000 for a twenty-minute performance. Yet the women of Sigma Alpha Iota raised that amount for the Pittsford High School band at the SAI Charity Ball Friday.
