College, community honor Jack Armstrong with memorial service

On Tuesday, city officials, college administrators, local ministers and members of the community rallied, 300 strong, to support the Armstrong family at the memorial for Olin Eugene “Jack Jr.” Armstrong.

Security responds to recent attacks

Following a series of alleged physical assaults on Hillsdale college students two weeks ago, campus security has responded by building a new communications network, expanding their student security detail, and placing all campus building monitors under security control.

Presidential debates spark interest with students and faculty

President Bush and Senator Kerry met last Thursday for the first of three scheduled debates that will lead the nation into the final weeks of the presidential race. The topic was foreign policy and homeland security, with the primary focus pinpointing Iraq and its role in the war on terror. Jim Lehrer, anchor of the NewsHour on PBS, moderated the event.

 

College Republicans protest Michael Moore

Chants of “Viva Bush!” and “Four more years!” could be heard from three blocks away as the Hillsdale College and the University of Michigan College Republicans teamed up to protest against Fahrenheit 9/11 's creator, Michael Moore, last Wednesday evening in Ann Arbor, Mich.
