Freshman wins $3,000 in Everett Oratory contest

Freshman Dan Burfiend spoke for ten minutes on the theme “Hillsdale and the American Republic” last week in Phillips Auditorium and was handed a check for $3,000. This was the Edward Everett Prize in Oratory Competition.
