Pats, Brady will rule Sunday
In the two weeks leading up to the Super Bowl it seems like the only question on people's lips has been, “Is Terrell Owens going to play?”
True, this question merits some attention, but I am sick of hearing that Owens gave a thumbs up to reporters after leaving the Eagles practice facility.
In case fans have not figured it out yet, he is going to play! No matter what his doctors say, TO is not about to miss his first chance to play in the Super Bowl.
With that in mind, here is some completely TO free Super Bowl talk.
In a modern-day David versus Goliath match-up, the Eagles, who have finally made it into the Super Bowl, after losing their previous three attempts in the NFC Championship game, face off against the Patriots, who people are calling the greatest team in NFL history.
No one is giving the Eagles any chance of winning this game, including me.
I have given up on rooting against New England in the playoffs, and no matter how much I want the Eagles to de-throne the Patriots, it seems almost impossible.
As we all saw during the World Series with the Boston Red Sox and the University of Connecticut winning the men's basketball national championship, it is New England's year in sports, and the Patriots are destined to win the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia is going up against a quarterback who is undefeated in the playoffs, including 2-0 in the Super Bowl, and a head coach who, in this year's playoffs, has already held an unstoppable offense to three points and given a 15-0 quarterback his first loss as a starter.
The combination of these two minds, along with the rest of the talent surrounding them on both sides of the ball, seems like too much for the Eagles to overcome.
Oh yeah, the Patriots also have a kicker, Adam Vinatieri, who has hit more Super Bowl winning field goals than the Eagles organization has Super Bowl trophies.
Unfortunately for Vinatieri, New England will not need him to win the game this weekend.
Philadelphia is simply happy to be in the Super Bowl, after losing in the NFC Championship game the past three years.
The only way Philadelphia has a chance of winning is if they start praying to God for help and begin looking for pebbles and a sling.
Super Bowl XXXIX Prediction:
New England- 33
Philadelphia- 10
