Seniors, Willson honored

The class of 2004 marched
in their graduation robes alongside the faculty as the Hillsdale
College community gathered today at College Baptist Church for
Spring Convocation.
Three-time Professor of the Year, John Willson,
received the Emily Daugherty Award for Teaching Excellence.
The senior class officers passed the gavel to the new class
officers of 2004-05.
Professor Brad Birzer, last year's Professor
of the Year, addressed the crowd, speaking on "Little Words
and Mighty Swords."
The women of Pi Beta Phi and the men of Sigma
Chi claimed the scholarship cup again with GPAs of 3.378 and
3.039, respectively. Kappa Kappa Gamma was not far behind with
3.262, Alpha Xi Delta with 3.204 and Chi Omega with 2.942. Delta
Sigma Phi earned an average of 2.800 and Alpha Tau Omega earned
a 2.756.
The all-college average was 3.076, the all-men
average was 2.951 and all-women was 3.194.
The 2004 top ten graduating seniors in alphabetical
order are Jennifer Bohn, Lee Cole, Crystal Cornett, Caleb Faires,
Elizabeth Foster, Natalie Lemire, Terah Malette, Katia Noskova,
Amanda Proctor and Samantha Richards.
