Modern Dance
The Peter Sparling Dance Company, Michigan's premiere contemporary dance company, will be performing in Markel Auditorium at 8 p.m Friday in the Sage Center for the arts.

Star gazing planned
The Society of Physics Students is sponsoring an evening of star-gazing and astronomy from 9:45 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. tonight on the soccer fields. Viewing will be through the physics department's new telescopes.


SAI Charity Ball this Sat.
At 9 p.m. Saturday in the Howard Music Building, Sigma Alpha Iota, the women's music honorary, will hold a charity ball, with President and Mrs. Larry Arnn presiding.
Tickets are $12 each, or $20 for a pair, and admission includes a dessert buffet and a cash raffle as well as dancing.
Proceeds from the event will go toward the music program at Reading High School.

United Way 'Blitz Day'
The local United Way chapter is holding its Blitz Day fundraiser. This is a volunteer opportunity for students to sell window signs to local businesses. For more information, contact Liesl at 439-1669, or lmholzknecht@hillsdale.edu.

Haunted barn seeks volunteers
The Hillsdale Haunted Barn will be up this fall, and needs volunteers to help with make-up, sound, security, acting, concessions, construction and clean-up.
