cuts in the athletic departments, as well as a freeze on all
faculty salaries. This year college finances have improved.
Delta
Tau Delta chapter closes after 136 years

After months of deliberation, the Delta
Tau Delta International Fraternity voted Sept. 8 to suspend
the charter of Hillsdale College's Delta Tau Delta fraternity,
thus closing the 136-year-old chapter.

takes over

A two-year national search officially ended last Wendesday when
the provost's office announced that Kenneth Calvert, tenured
associate professor of history, had been appointed permanent
headmaster of Hillsdale Academy.
