Hillsdale
Women's Swimming Season In Review
It
has been an extremely exciting swimming season
for the Hillsdale Chargers this year. Our season
concluded as we hosted the GLIAC Conference Swimming
and Diving Championships this year.
Throughout
the season, we broke eight school records, posted
32 best times at the Conference meet and produced
8 NCAA “B” time standards. We finished 5th in
the Conference with an all-time high score of
230 points!
Freshman
Amanda Smith broke the 50 and 100 freestyle records,
Junior Co-Captain Amy Stone broke the 500 freestyle
record, and sophomore, Cylie Hoopingarner broke
the 100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke, and 200 Backstroke
school records. Additionally her 200 backstroke
time was a pool record as well as a Conference
record!
Our
200 Medley Relay team of Cristina Narus, Amy Stone,
Cylie Hoopingarner and Amanda Smith broke the
school record. And the 400 Medley Relay team of
Abbie Crawford, Amy Stone, Cylie Hoopingarner,
and Amanda Smith also broke the school record!
