The Hillsdale College Men's Cross-Country team brought home a title Saturday by winning the GLIAC Championships. The men outran the 12-team field to post a 42 point low score. Ashland was the closest team to the Chargers with 52 points. Hillsdale was led by KEVIN BLACQUIERE (Zeeland, MI/Zeeland) with a time of 25:54 good for 3rd place overall. The rest of the Charger runners who scored finished in the next 33 seconds. Freshman STEVE LARSON (Cedar Springs, IA/Xavier) finished 5th (26:03), junior ERIC HOUGHTON (Cedar, MI/Traverse City) finished 10th (26:23), senior JARED MAXWELL (Holly, MI/Holly) finished 11th, and junior NICK RORICK (Ft. Wayne, IN/Homestead) finished 13th (26:27) to round out the scoring. Hillsdale also placed four more men in the top 25 runners.
The Chargers return to action on Saturday, November 6 at the NCAA Regionals in Joplin, Missouri.
