On-Line Study Guide
In order to use this study guide you should:
1. pick a chapter from the top menu on the right
2. pick a study item (Terms or Concepts) for that chapter from the second menu.
For the terms selection, the terms that you should know will appear in the left frame. When you "click on" a term its meaning will appear at the top of the right frame.
For the concepts selection, a list of concepts will appear in the left frame. The concepts are generally taken from my lecture notes or from the textbook. You should be familiar with all of the listed concepts. A MORE INFO button is placed next to some concepts indicating that additional explanatory material is provided. When you "click on" this button additional information about that topic will appear in the right frame. The MORE INFO buttons often correspond to material used in homework assignments and/or activities that you should be able to perform. Quite often you will be asked, on hour exams, to do exercises similar to the MORE INFO items.
To ask me questions via email, send messages to:
ray.johnson@ac.hillsdale.edu
using your regular QuickMail account. I am in the ACADEMIC COMPUTING zone and the FACSTAFF mailcenter. I will either answer your questions in class, give you an answer outside of class, or answer you via email. You are the first group of students to use this information so if you have suggestions, or find mistakes/typos/etc. on any of these pages, please let me know. Remember that this is a "study guide". It is not a replacement for your textbook or class notes. It is meant to be a supplement that you may use to "guide" your study of chemistry.
