Two Dimensional and Three Dimensional Structures

Hydrocarbons and Related Structures

To view a 3 dimensional VRML model of any of the 2 dimensional structures below, first click on that structure. On the bottom of the VRML viewing screen, select "Spin", then use the mouse to turn the model. Continuous rotation may be carried our by holding the "Command" key down (the key next to the space bar) while using the mouse to spin the model. Sometimes the colors of a model improve by turning down the "Lamp". If you lose a model in space, select "View" to bring it back to center screen. Close the VRML screen by clicking on the "Back" button in the upper left toolbar of the VRML window, then click on another 2D structure in this window. To return to the Science 101 homepage, use the Go menu in the menu bar above. Pull down to Science 101.
